I once heard that if a speech is short, easy to understand, and memorable, then it probably took a lot of time and work before hand to prepare. The landscape is not a lot different from that. Usually this means that in each season, preparations are being made for the next season. For instance, during the winter the height of grass is being taken down some and ornamentals are being pruned to reduce size. This allows the new spring growth to be welcomed and enjoyable instead of becoming an overgrown mess that quickly becomes a stressful nightmare.
